This Decaf is a smooth, darker roast providing a mellow, low acid flavour with medium body and sweetness.
Hard to believe it's decaf when it tastes this good!
The Swiss Water Process is the gold standard for the removal of caffeine from unroasted coffee beans. There is only one plant in the world, which is actually in Canada. Raw coffee is shipped to the plant to have the decaf gently removed in water via the patented process (originally developed in Switzerland - hence the name).
The resulting green coffee is almost 100% caffeine-free. The beans are then dried to the optimal moisture content before roasting.
It costs more this way, but it's worth it.
