FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about orders, shipping, coffee freshness, support, and more.

How long will my order take to arrive?

North Island: Usually 1–3 business days
South Island: Usually 2–3  business days
Rural areas: Usually takes 2 or 3 additional days

During peak times, particularly in the lead up to Christmas or other holiday periods please allow an extra day or so due to courier network volumes.

How much does shipping cost?

Standard rates apply for smaller orders. Rural delivery costs slightly more.
Orders over $100 NZD may require signature on delivery.

Can you deliver to PO Boxes or Outer Islands?

No. We require a street address for delivery. We cannot ship to PO Boxes, parcel lockers, Waiheke Island, or Great Barrier Island.

Do you ship internationally or offer store pick-up?

We currently ship only within New Zealand. You can add a note to your order if you would prefer to collect from Devonport, however please confirm first by email or phone that this is possible.

What is your returns policy?

We don’t accept returns for “change of mind.” If your item has a manufacturing fault or defect, we’ll replace it with an identical or equivalent product, or repair it at our discretion, or offer store credit.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes — if your order hasn’t shipped yet. Once dispatched, changes aren’t possible. Please contact us as soon as possible if you want to cancel or change your order.

How long will my coffee stay fresh?

Our bags carry a 12-month best before date, but flavour evolves:

First 2 weeks after roasting: too fresh — beans are releasing CO₂.
Weeks 2–4: peak flavour and balance.
Up to 3 months: very good flavour.
3–12 months: safe to drink, but flavour will gradually taper off.

Is your coffee organic or Fair Trade?

All our coffee is specialty grade. While we’re not Fair Trade certified, our Dolce and Pascolo blends are BioGro Organic Certified.
